The Rolls of the sectors
The city and outliers are divided into five sectors. Sector 1 is the center of the city, surrounded by the other sectors, and the center of the politics. All the judicial happenings go on here. The police headquarters and jail are there as well. Parliament is where The Five gather to make decisions. Otherwise, only the member known as One of Five lives in this sector.
Sector two is right along the Lake and the home for the factories, warehouses, fishing and shipping. Most of the story will happen here because of the easy access to the storm drains and other elements. Most of the citizens of Redemption live in this sector and take the rail to the other sectors for work and school. This sector is ruled by Two of Five.
Sector three is the home of the fields and pasture lands. Wheat, corn, and other plains type crops are grown here. Not many people live here, but some do and those that do live in abject poverty. Ruled by Three of Five, this is the major supplier of grain, dairy and meat.
Sector four is where most of the fruit and vegetables come from. Almost no one lives here, and those who do are little better off than those of sector 3. This sector has mostly orchards and some fields that have other fruits and vegetables. Ruled by Three of Five.
The last sector is sector five. This sector has all the schools and universities available to Redemption. Only professors and headmasters live in this sector. This is considered one of the more affluent areas after sector one alone. Ruled over by Five of Five, all children go to school until the age of sixteen. The "culling" only occurs at night so all students don't have to be afraid to go to school. It's suspected that it's through the schools that the children are selected for the "culling." Universities cost money and are expensive.
